Associazione Anna Borsa
The Anna Borsa Association was founded on 19 January 2024 in Pontecagnano (SA) on the initiative of Vincenzo Borsa who experienced the drama of his sister's murder at the hands of someone who said he loved her.
Its aim is to combat all forms of violence against women.
In particular, it is committed to witnessing the atrocity of feminicide through its own experience.
We firmly support the idea that in order to prevent such abuse and its tragic outcome, an early assessment of the risk of recurrence of violence against women is absolutely necessary.
It is now well established that the manifest desire to break off the relationship with the abuser or the very act of denouncing constitute the moment of greatest danger to the woman's life, with risks ranging from the escalation of violence to the so-called ‘death announced’.
Prevention therefore means not only combating its cultural roots and causes, but putting all the actors in the anti-violence network into a system to ensure maximum protection and safeguard for victims.
In fact, denunciation in itself may prove insufficient if not properly supported by the development of a properly implemented safety plan that ensures the woman's total protection.
The Anna Borsa Association finances itself through the free donations of individuals, companies and private persons who share its aims.
