Aiutodonna is a service of the Società della Salute Pistoiese, managed in collaboration with Gruppo Incontro Cooperativa Sociale.

The service is aimed at women who have suffered or are suffering violence, physical, psychological, economic, sexual and stalking abuse residing in the eleven municipalities of the Pistoia area (Pistoia, Serravalle, Marliana, Sambuca, Quarrata, Montale, Agliana, Abetone, Piteglio, San Marcello Pistoiese and Cutigliano).

After an initial telephone reception, specialist interviews are offered for psychological, social and legal support.

Aiutodonna also collaborates with the territorial Social Service, the Police Force and Municipal Police, the Health Services, professionals specialised in the subject by the Pistoia Bar Association, and with other anti-violence centres in Tuscany and Italy.

Since 2006, when it was established, the centre not only welcomes and supports women victims of violence, but also takes care of detecting the needs of the territory on which to build prevention and awareness campaigns.
