Faces to be Stepped On

The photographic works of Marcello Vigoni, created during the artistic performance “Faces to be Stepped On” at the Disarmarsi festival (Arena Po, September 13, 2024), are now being auctioned for a charitable purpose.

These are fine art black-and-white prints portraying the faces of minors with closed eyes, symbols of innocence and vulnerability.

The images, originally intact, were transformed by the direct intervention of the audience who, through the act of stepping on them, made visible the weight of indifference toward the suffering of the innocent.

These unique works, imbued with symbolic and emotional value, will be sold at auction to support Save the Children and its projects dedicated to the protection of minors.
