Fair winds for Research

‘Fair wind for research’ relaunches the sailing world's commitment to support AIRC. A strong bond that starts from Trieste in the waters of the Barcolana where for several years the crew of ‘Goofy for AIRC’, the reigning Italian champion in sailing (Ufo 28 class), has been competing. It first created the Barcolana Charity Program and then promoted a series of initiatives in favour of AIRC researchers. Now other champions are joining this challenge and providing experience and memorabilia to enable research to proceed even faster!

Since 1965, the AIRC Foundation has continuously supported independent cancer research with the aim of transforming scientific discoveries into effective cures. Through a rigorous and transparent selection system, AIRC funds the most promising ideas of experienced researchers and young talents at every stage of their careers.
